We started with Italian/Carniolian mixes and have brought in some wild bee colonies. The queens are open mated, so we have a mix of genetics.
We mark our queens (marking color may vary) and that service is provided with no extra cost to the customer.
Our bees are mostly raised on foundationless frames, but we do use some plastic foundation or frames, so nucs may be a mix of frame styles.
Naturally drawn comb frames will usually have a small amount of drone comb.
